Our History
In 1958 Bob Cunningham, armed with only his knowledge of the transportation industry, modest savings and a plentiful amount of hope and hard work, launched Kroflite Motor Express Inc. Bob quickly became aware that the most important aspect of his new business was to put the customers’ needs above all else, a practice his company, now known as Midwest Cargo Systems, firmly believes in today.
In December of 2006 Bob put his company in the very capable hands of his family; his son Robert and son in law Tom Ciukaj. Together they have continued in Bob’s footsteps by gaining the loyalty and trust of new business, upholding the standard of quality expected of their drivers and as always, making sure that the customers receive the same personalized service that they did in 1958, “No is our last possible answer” has become the customer motto for Midwest Cargo Systems, Inc.

Safety
Our tractor fleet specifications include an array of safety features to protect our drivers as well as other drivers on the road.
- Lane departure notification informs the driver when the vehicle begins to drift out of its lane.
- Tailgating alert beeps when the tractor begins to follow the vehicle in front of him too closely.
- Braking assist will cause the tractor to automatically brake if it gets too close to a vehicle or obstacle.
- Cameras installed with continuous recording to ensure our drivers adhere to our safety policies. Also provides notices when a tractor exceeds the posted speed limit or rolls through a stop sign.
